If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor promptly. Thank you for the question. This side effect is common (erythema nodosum) and may also be accompanied by edema or swelling. Usually if it is more than just a little mottling the dose or the drug is stopped. Hope that helps you and sorry you had a side effect._________________Michael S. Okun, M.D.

Thank you for listing the side effects. To summarize in PD we mostly see swelling, rash, mottling and we don't give it to people with kidney problems. Occasionally it affects cognition or may result in hallucinations. It is generally well tolerated but one must always be vigilant._________________Michael S. Okun, M.D.

I refer to my email. As Amantadine and Benzhexol are wonder drugs I continue the medication at lowest dosages i.e 1/2 dosage of Amantadine and Benxhexol (Artane) each two times daily. As they are new medication our body need times to adjust their side effects i.e dry mouth and skin rashes. My physical instructor amazes my achievement as my physical movement and mobilities are improved.

I am glad these meds are working for you! Just remember that each person is different. What is good for you may not be so helpful for another patient. The good news is that we have much more options now that we did before. Yours,_________________Hubert H. Fernandez

Anything is possible...so yes, tasmar may cause it....BUT, this is not one of the typical side effects of tasmar...thus, to me it is unlikely. I would suggest you see a dermatologist for your rash....hard to tell what it is due without seeing it. But, although neurodermatitis can occur due to anxiety, to me it is also less likely...My guess is that this rash is due to something else...a dermatologist may clarify all these for you. Good luck!_________________Hubert H. Fernandez
