My PD brother has difficulties to communicate/conveying his feeling, emotion and ideas in any discussion/meeting. His difficulties are the expression conveyed by soft, fatigue, boring, low rough voice.
He uses to change/alter his speech as he has restricted/ inabilities to effectively communicate himself through the self expression on his face and voice. It is too boring for us with him.
Ineffective communication can make us feel loney, frustrated and depressed. These may limit the communication abilities of the patient
I understand there are 80 to 90% of PD have communication difficulties. What is the cause of his difficulties with communication?
Your assistance will be helpful for him Thanks TEO KIM HOe

There are many potential causes of communication deficits in PD as the disease involves motor and non-motor circuits. It is best to use Lee Silvermann voice techniques for voice volume and a psychologist/therapist for emotional issues._________________Michael S. Okun, M.D.
