Dad was on Sinemet Cr 25/100 3 x per day and was recently increased to Sinemet Cr 50/200 3 x per day to try to improve his walking/freezing episodes.
It has been about a month and it hasn't helped his walking but it has only increased his confusion.
Would it hurt to go back to his lower dosage of sinemet? Or would you recommend adding something else to the higher dose? Thanks

I would first convert his sinemt CR to regular sinemet 25/100, perhaps you could start with 1 and 1/2 three times per day. I would couple this with physical therapy also. If he continues to become confused, he needs a work-up. Yours,_________________Hubert H. Fernandez

Dear Feernandez,
As a PD patient and taking the Sinemet 25/100 one each for Morning, afternoon and evening I fully agree with you that the patient should start with Sinemet 25/100 instead of Sinemet CR as his PD is at earlier stage.
He needs to do a lot of workout at least one hour per day to improve his physcially flexibility, stability and mobility.
The Sinemet 25/100 does helpful for his workout as it is a miracle cure.
Thanks
