Yoga helps to alleviate symptoms of Parkinson Disease

Yoga helps with Parkinson Disease patients because it streches your muscles. Streching helps because it prevents stiffness and rigidity in your muscles which are brought on by Parkinson Disease. Therefore, it will slow the progression of the said disease. The picture above shows me in one of the common yoga poses.

This is another picture of me with a difficult yoga pose.

I recommend all Parkinson Disease patients to take up some form of exercises which promotes flexibility, mobility and strengthening of muscles. Yoga is just one of those exercises. You can also try pilates or even rolfing.
